It comes with a USB and ethernet interface and I want to set it up centrally in my house. I have recently aquired an older ethernet enabled HP Laserjet Pro printer.
#Windows 10 lost files after reboot install#
I ran them in both Regular and Safe Mode & even though they do find infections and removes them after a reboot everything reverts back to the previous settings and when you open up SpyBot or Malwarebytes following the reboot it displays that a scan has never been run or hasn't been in 30 + Days.īiggest surprise of all, I tried to do a clean install of Windows 10 as a last resort and guess what? I've run SpyBot, SpyBot RootKit, Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, Malwarebytes, tdskiller, ComboFix, AdwCleaner. It's almost like a system restore runs after every reboot even though their or no restore points available. Windows Updates fails every time but I am able to resolve that issue but doesn't really matter because after the updates do install a reboot is required which reverts the PC back to the previous settings.
#Windows 10 lost files after reboot update#
I tried to resolved the issues first by turning off smartscreen (doesnt works), installing antivirus or anti malware (doesnt works), windows update (fails to install any), windows reset (prepares and reboots, then back to its same state).
After every reboot, the system changes back to its original state as if a restore was done from Deep Freeze but nothing of that sort is set up. some antivirus apps start installation but unable to finish installing themselves and quit in the background silently. After every reboot any updates, installs, changes made be them shortcuts, files, icons, wallpaper or even any text update in the existing text files reverts back to the state where they were before any reboot. The computer is for a café and was put together by myself but the account was with admin right for sales staff but they hardly even know any tech stuff. I'm having an issue with a Windows 10 Pro | 64Bit POS PC that I've been unable to resolve after several days of continuous troubleshooting.
